Re: OOC Support Thread - You're Awesome and Here's Why

I pick Farra. I don't even play with her, in fact I hadn't even met her on any character until TODAY and even that was like a one pose scene. But her reputation quite honestly preceeded her. I have heard good, I have heard bad, but the fact is I have heard a lot of IC stuff about her long before I e...

I humbly submit this evidence to counter your premise:

But seriously: It's a good article, maybe we need some IC propaganda with badass Knights owning sniveling little mousey mages and such.

Re: RPI = No OOC

It may be a bit of an undertaking, but I've played on text-based RP games wherein the staff actively monitor and police all OOC channels, including tells and osays. Policy violations are quickly recognized and addressed. Disclaimer: I definitely do NOT speak for any TI staff or other players or any...

Re: Illness Engine Proposal

+1 for sure. Plus it would give a point to the humoral tea recipes =) How about something like: - colds: too Phlegmatic, treatment is Sanguine tea - fevers: too Sanguine, treatment is the Phlegmatic tea - indigestion or diarrhea (whee!): too Choleric, treatment is Melancholic tea - depression or gen...

Re: Jail Automation Requirements

I'd add some caveats depending on the case. I think it would be appropriate for Knights to consider stepping in for a particularly infamous murderer. I don't think the situation is symmetrical with respect to the Reeves though - the Knights have a bit of a secular role in maintaining order as a mil...

Re: Jail Automation Requirements

Like, if I have a mage that is publicly there, and there is no knight on, what do I do? As a Reeve, do I just let that person go? It's certainly reasonable from a player perspective. Yes, codewise you could certainly take them in. But ICly Reeves are trained to take down criminals, and Knights are ...

Re: Safe combat working with arrests

On the one hand, it's ICly reasonable to want to subdue someone with "pulled punches" and other less dangerous forms of force. On the other hand, I'm not sure it's unreasonable for the arrestee to say that even though you have clearly bested them in (thumb wars, arm wrestling, hockey wall checking, ...

Re: Jail Automation Requirements

What I'd really like to see is a low-security jail option for low-risk inmates where the public could come and go and interact with the prisoners, but the prisoners couldn't leave or equip/unequip items. A stockade of some sort. If we could automate people being there for a period of time that'd be...
