Re: Why Are Assets Limited to Chargen?

I'm so confused by this change and the thread haha.

What does this mean for someone like me who is super casual and obviously missed whatever cutoff time to do whatever? I'm just a poor baddy with like 200 silver. I take it, farm up XP to buy an asset off the market that represents my job?

Re: Herbalism Planting/tending skill level

Don't forget top level drugs and whatnot if that's an option! Hell, would love a lottery system in place where I can have a 1.0% of generating/creating a new drug in a batch or something with random affects. That'ed be sexy.

Re: The Uncertain future of the Physicians

There is a problem with finding private medical practices though, maybe there could be put some restriction on where the more serious conditions can be treated? Like when done in some back alley, instead of the hospital, there is a big chance of getting some of a serious, and potentially deadly, in...

Re: Risks of medicine!

Dono, seems silly that someone like a knight would not know the first thing of treating a wound, especially if they have been cut before and watched others treat him/her. I would imagine that if someone versed in combat got struct with an arrow, they would not walk around not knowing how to deal wit...

Re: Risks of medicine!

Am, I don't think I see what point you are trying to make. Especially as the only difference in what I proposed between guided and unguided physicians is that the ones outside of the guild will be reported by orderlies when treating people at Madison. Because medicine is not something, random peopl...

Re: Risks of medicine!

Just some perspective from a non-physician. I look at things like this like eating food. We all have to eat. We also may all have to cook and prep what we eat. Does that make us a chef? Just because we eat food every day, does that make you a chef right? The issue is that, what's to stop your mother...

Re: The Death of the Physicians

To be honest, I had no idea poisons existed until this thread. This is great. :)

Re: Combat Issues & Bugs

Arrest or restrain is not physically having someone to arrest them. It's initiating the intent to arrest them and asking the code to start mediating that attempt. Someone can flee from such an attempt, but it's not the same as just walking away - someone is trying to grab them. Thus, it should use ...

Re: Combat Issues & Bugs

Personally, I feel it should just be based on distance. At some point, if you try to arrest someone and close enough, some type of event needs to happen that simulates someone actually putting their hands on you to secure you enough to actually restrain you with some type of object. Once that happen...
