Sharing rumors and such is one of the jobs of the Troubadours Guild. I'd be slightly worried that if everyone was encouraged to give rumors away, that cuts out one of their jobs/RP ins.
Instead maybe the finding RP suggestion should recommend that people seek out a Bard if they like gossip.

The only trouble about linking things from rumors to lore is that rumors specifically don't need to be true, and arguably (or at least I personally hope) that lore would be expected to be.

I don't like volunteers turning their flags off; we had that for Aides and it *seemed* to contribute to their doing nothing but having an Aide flag for prestige but doing minimal cyan-player help for the benefit. If there is a toggle, perhaps there should be an expectation of Aides of a minimum of ...
