Re: [Poll] Local or inter-ducal RP focus?

TI's grid is very large, and the player density there is already fairly small. Coupled with the long travel times to move around that grid in-game, it can already give the feeling that the world is very large and somewhat barren. While I would enjoy a tiny handful of rooms more fleshed out than 'tra...

Re: What Keeps You From Going Order?

Playing an Order character has always interested me! However, any other circumstances notwithstanding, I don't have the time. Order characters have a higher IC and OOC burden of paperwork, daily upkeep routines, and other responsibilities expected of what IMO what is best served as a proactive, anta...

Re: Magical Tattoos

That's a terrible idea. Why not just tattoo "I'm a mage, arrest me" on your character? Equipment (and clothing) layers are a thing, so just don't get arrested in the first place and never ever ever ever let anyone see you naked, which is already the optimal strategy for playing the game in t...

Re: Gate Node Confirmation

As I recall, you can see what's on the other side of a node if you look. Been awhile though. Room descriptions can be seen, but objects and people cannot. This is true for some other similar effects, as well. I'm not 100% clear on what's meant by 'astral travel' and I wonder if this is causing conf...

Re: Returning Players

A full refund on the 'present value' of an asset or phome that's lost sounds reasonable. These are effectively partial refunds, because anything in a phome (furniture, et al) is going to be lost, and characters with assets can and probably will lose money to shifting market conditions.

Re: Object and Clothing Depreciation?

I admit I didn't know anything about this until the OOC meeting, where it didn't seem to get much discussion. I don't know if increased demand in tailoring work is going to directly cause more problems for tailors and to be honest I think some of the issues might be caused more by player behavior an...

Re: [Poll] Should Orderites be allowed to have mage alts?

I'd say restricting it to 'militant' Orderites or even GLs is the best compromise. I'd also suggest it alongside some kind of account bonus for playing an active Orderite. The recurring vocal consensus seems to be that mages have the more preferred player experience overall if players are forced to ...

Re: [Poll] Should Orderites be allowed to have mage alts?

I voted a belated no not out of distrust for the playerbase as a whole, but because it seems like a solid common-sense heuristic to prevent unintended incidents and the unintended chilling of player conflict via crossover accidents. This conversation brings up some questions that could possibly all ...

Re: Erasing summoning circles

What about making it mage and Order only, and spiffing up the strings so that each group is doing their own unique process that's more than just kicking up dirt?

Granted, that's more complicated and I don't know if the Paladin Pals want even more Guild-exclusive chores.

Re: Returning Players

I guess my question is why do we need to penalize players for disappearing? They're already likely to lose their Guild and many of their old social connections due to player rotation and maintenance. I generally don't like the idea that run-of-the-mill players are punished so harshly for taking a br...
