Re: Great Grand Inquisitor? What made them Great?

In my time playing, I cant say I can think of many memorable Grand Inquisitors. If I were considering it more in the vein of favorite head of the Order, aka GI or when it used to be Cardinal, I'd have to say Gerolf. He was very thematic to the Order while at the same time managing to be involved in ...

Re: Sniffing Potions

Would have to agree with Dragon here. The thing about potions is that they're arcane creations. While a potion might include various ingredients, that's not to say those ingredients wouldn't be completely transformed following the process. I don't really like the idea of being able to sniff them to ...

Re: Wildlife Cover Scent

The idea of making it an apply was mentioned to Niamh when cover scent was first added and she mentioned codedly it couldn't be done currently because the wildlife use scripts that don't recognize affects like that. The item essentially works because it's a coded item held in your inventory. I rathe...

Re: Seneschal Directly Ousting GLs — Why This Can Be Good

I absolutely agree with this. The Seneschal should definitely be very visible as the one who used it when they pull the trigger. It'd make perfect thematic sense, even.

Re: Seneschal Directly Ousting GLs — Why This Can Be Good

I don't really have a problem with a Seneschal blaming it on 'that's what the people wanted' even if the GL in question had fairly good status. Tbh, I as a player would use that as ammo against the Seneschal. "Oh, you're so out of touch that you believe that's what they wanted?" "Oh, you're so weak ...

Re: City Lore Updates Feedback

You could make it a required field to complete chargen, or to join a guild.

Make it so the guild command runs a check to see if there are any lore entries for a character and if there aren't, then it won't allow them.

Re: Death XP and New Players

I absolutely agree that older players should be rewarded for the time spent into gaining their death xp, and new players should have to work for that too. However, there is an interesting conundrum that I've come to realize by some comments throughout this thread - As the pbase gets older and older,...

Re: Ingame Travel and Infrastructure

Except it isn't satisfying to get somewhere through the frustration. It's just frustrating. The common argument I've seen is to just keep more food or get it from the almshouse. The problem with this is that the sheer amount of food needed to get anywhere if you don't own a horse is staggering. Exam...

Re: Ingame Travel and Infrastructure

Your argument that even a peasant would have access to do their daily toil is rather misleading. At most, an entire family might own or rent one horse and that horse would be one of the most precious things they had. As TI's system currently handles -owning- horses, one can't really use this as an e...

Ingame Travel and Infrastructure

This is a bit of a dead horse that's been beaten regularly, which I acknowledge. To start beating the dead horse again... I think there's a problem in just how severe the effect the infrastructure city metric has on MV drain in the city. The main argument that I see against getting rid of this featu...
