Re: Money Matters
No offense taken. Part of the reason the prices are so high in a shop is so that we don't undercut that process you highly prefer above. We'd far prefer everyone went to PC merchants! However, we've known the PC merchant process to break down occassionally - when the merchant has an IRL incident, ge...

Re: Racism and you.
I think there is a bit of "I want to be the noble hero and stamp out this cruelty" psychology going on in some players. Eg, instead of adopting the mindset of the theme, they want their characters to be better than the theme and mindset based on our modern values. Not certain how to resolve that, re...

Re: Racism and you.
Yeah, I saw the same thing happen when I threw fruit at a burning mage or when nobles spit on freemen. My personal stance on it is this: This is a game where unsavory themes are enacted. This is in theme, and this is okay. BUT the player doing the racism/sexism/classism/whatever-ism needs to be care...

Re: Money Matters
I'm not certain that poorly distributed wealth is the same problem on TI as it is in real life (I'm seeing a lot of "class warfare" news articles at the moment), actually, nor am I convinced that having more things in game worth buying is bad. The issue is if we set the prices on those things with t...

Re: Money Matters
What does everyone else spend their money on then?
I'm thinking of adding training objects, like barbells for strength, skill books, etc, atm.

Re: Money Matters
Does no one have to buy food? Are taxes a burden?
Anyone can buy objs from a shop and retool, so are merchants still over stressed?

Re: Social Lithmore Games
Just to add that people should get influence for RPing in an area when we're talking about Geographical ones.

Spam Login/out
Sitting here chatting to Skarla and I noticed that in about 20 minutes time, some four separate people logged in, then right back out. No doubt they did because the wholist is bare - but the wholist doesn't get un-bare unless people stick around. Any ideas of any ways we can encourage people to stic...

Re: Social Lithmore Games
Speaking of influence being based in things other than support, etc, I wonder if you should get influence points for RPing in an area when the "area" in question is geographical.

Re: Social Lithmore Games
Some ideas people have discussed just to document: 1) Leaderboards should exist for each "area", but they should be anonymous until/unless people begin to spend influence in that area (not sure if we're talking geographical or not). A low-ranking influence benefit will be knowing who is spending the...
