Re: Jail Channel

With Temi's polite request I was hoping we might trend back towards general discussion than personal back and forths. But for now, to let emotion settle, I'm locking this until she can peek at it further.

Re: Latency clarification

I do agree, but as I mentioned since that's getting into the territory of telling people how to RP/play I don't think it's up to us to decide that. It might be stifling, but the argument devolves to whether OOCly the players want to take risks or not. A lot of people are afraid of losing their char...

Re: Tracking

There had been city tracking the entire time I've actively played so I was not aware that something I'd always presumed was a feature was indeed viewed as a bug. So, I'm pro-tracking myself if that wasn't otherwise clear. The fact is as noted 99% of RP happens inside the city, and "tracking" could i...

Re: Tracking

The thing is "it's not realistic" only goes so far in a reality where magic is indeed, real.

Re: Tracking

This seems potentially problematic as it's going to allow the use of certain spells with zero risk, as the inherit risk was the tracks it left.

Re: INDECENT!

AFAIK part of the reason you get that flag is that not having the vital wearlocs covered leaves you vulnerable to IC disease.

Re: What Keeps You From Going Order?

I agree. I'm not sure if I could bring myself to deliberately kill off another persons character. If I had the option of taking a more moderate approach to mages I might try out Order. Permanent imprisonment? I dunno. But I don't think it's an option because the whole pyre thing is so central to ev...

Re: Moar Wilderness?

The wilderness isn't the only place to explore though, we also have rooftops, sewers, etc, so there's lots of places to look about. At a certain point endlessly expanding doesn't work. And "exploration is fun" is a different discussion from the topic that's been at hand.

Re: Moar Wilderness?

I would bet as it stands there are parts of the map and secret rooms and other hidey holes the majority of people have never seen, let alone found all of them with one character. I honestly don't think we need more rooms. I think people's perception of the situation is based on how much of the grid ...

Re: [Poll] Should Orderites be allowed to have mage alts?

This conversation brings up some questions that could possibly all be threads of their own: - Is the premier and primary playing experience on TI meant to be playing mages to the point where we are concerned that people will not play the game and/or have interest in other characters if they don't/ca...
