Re: How to GL
* Activity. You may be tempted to just get sucked into the trap of answering mail and sitting in your office, but while answering mail IS super important, you can see a guild flourish or die off based on how present in RP their GL is. Be out there, RPing with your guild mates! This is what ultimatel...

Re: [Poll] Give Us Grit
I am definitely in favor of most of the ideas suggested, but especially class differentiation and removal of universal education. Universal education subtly distorts a number of things about TI's world to make it implausible. Stringent class structures depend on ignorance of the lower class. I would...

Re: Alternative approach to noble inactivity
I think 50 hours is fine, and like this system as it's suggested above by Kinaed earlier. Nice way to shelve noble PCs temporarily.

Re: Theme Enforcement - the gentle approach
I think mostly my thoughts on this one have been veto'd before, but: * Add code to support stricter requirements for class - the asset system and changeable class as very high staff priorities * Expand applications so that bastards also require application at a minimum - ideally, require brief appli...

Re: Separating plant/tend/harvest from Herbalism
As it is right now, I'm pretty sure you can tend/harvest anything that isn't exotic/rare/a novelty before 36, so it should be very doable to get it up to 36 and still play a gardener, farmer, etc. I think the status quo on this one is fine!

Re: [Poll] Large Scale Null - Rewrite of IC_Event Post
I think this change is a very good one. Kudos to the staff and Emma both for the willingness to re-examine this one.

Re: More Tolerance for Inactivity
There's nothing wrong with players speaking up when they feel something has been handled poorly in order to encourage a different resolution, so long as the discussion stays polite and reasonable. Staff members are human too, and mistakes can be made - sometimes trying to fix something that is wrong...

Re: More Tolerance for Inactivity
If this were any other loss of a title, it might be hard to explain. But with the March dissolved, there do seem to be a number of reasons why it could happen that would not imply criminal incompetence on the PC's part- maybe, as a middle ground, the IC board post could be replaced with something ge...

Re: More Tolerance for Inactivity
Sorry if you felt attacked by my focus on the IC event, Pixie! I just think there are two separate topics here/in Geras's post that started this: 1) if inactivity itself needs to be looser and 2) if the method of handling inactivity removals should be less punitive. I have very different opinions on...

Re: More Tolerance for Inactivity
While I cannot argue that two hours in six weeks is not much to ask, I agree that the MANNER of the removal was unnecessarily punitive, and we have typically been far nicer in posts to people who were removed from roles for inactivity. Did the post really have to be so shaming? When GLs are inactive...
