Re: Players Avoiding RP
I agree, Vox. Hell, even delayed I almost always manage to emote twice in 30. If I plan to be more delayed than that, there's a tell/osay with an explanation. Or if I expect the delay to be substantial, I make my IC excuses an leave. They might be lame excuses, but sometimes, RL is lame.

Re: Players Avoiding RP
speaking as one of those players who log in from work, I usually try to lay out the expectation when I'm playing from work that I'm online because it's dead, but I may be delayed because it got busy for a few minutes. I log in from work because it's the time when I can most consistently log in and b...

Re: Whisper in Emotes
I like the idea. but I think whispering could benefit from some work first - it's partly why I almost never use it. Admittedly, I'm not sure how exactly it works now, but I know if I'm codely positioned near two whispering people, I'm almost guaranteed to overhear what they're saying - even if I ICl...

Re: Screen reader view
I'm still not entirely convinced it's an ideal solution. Both because people will more than likely forget about it, or decide against using it, and also because if someone chose not to use it it couldn't count as anything about which the staff could do. You'd be more likely to get results by discour...

Re: Screen reader view
I'm not entirely sure how practical such a thing would be to code, or for that matter how many would think to use it - I think in a lot of cases the majority of people who'd add a description to their ascii art are the same people who'd choose an actual description over ascii art in most cases. Afte...

Re: [Poll] Masonry
Like the majority, I stuck to the "maybe" option. A lot of the same concerns as were already mentioned re: still more than probably requiring staff oversight so not entirely sure how much actual work would be saved/transferred to the IC realm. I love the idea in theory, especially insofar as Vandaga...

Draw/sheath suggestion.
I got to thinking, which is usually dangerous if you're me. Drawing/sheathing, particularly if you're in combat, defaults to taking a round of action. So if you draw your weapon, you can't emote until the other person's taken their turn. since I'm a huge fan of emoting things before/rather than code...

Re: Pull Color Strings From Objects
Waitasec. You can pull colour codes from notes already? Why have I not heard of this?
Also: yes, please.

Re: The future of the Physicians
I wonder if it's perhaps time to consider a revamp of at the very least how medicine works? Admittedly I was never a fan of, say, herbalism being a guildskill specific to physicians, considering (and Hera can correct me on this) that does some tying into chandlery as well, but that's another rant fo...

Re: Regency Debate event
I'm game for that if a few of the candidates are. Again, probably same restrictions apply - so likely Saturday or Sunday, after 7:00 PM EST, to maximise attendance. Interested parties toss something here, and I'll start the ball rolling solo the next couple days.
