Re: [Poll] Rumors
Real life is nasty, yes, but we aren't playing this game to vicariously live out the worst the world has to offer, we're here to have fun and tell stories.

Re: [Poll] Rumors
I'd just like to come in here and second a lot of what Pixie put down here - a lot of the time, rumors just seem nasty in a way that isn't really productive and conducive to RP, and seems to be used more and more as a vector for consequence-free harassment more than anything. Rumors should be nasty,...

Skill Synergy
Something I've been kind of thinking about for a while - a lot of skills, especially the trade skills, seem to have a little bit of conceptual overlap, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that a lot of our skills can be sort of 'grouped' or paired together: Jeweling / Blacksmithing ...

Re: [Poll] Enforcing Theme
I think the best way to reduce 'unthemely' behavior might be to tie theme into the game mechanics more often wherever possible (like making gentry wealth asset-based), and maybe have more examples of themely behavior on grid (like mobs that react to people based on social class, indecency, etc.)

Re: [Poll] Enforcing Theme
I would just like to chime in and say that I, too, am also for delving into the theme a bit and trying to change it around or pare it down to something a bit more lean and palatable! I think we can do so without losing the game's core identity.

Re: [Poll] Enforcing Theme
In broad terms, from a game design standpoint, what this is is a problem of unwanted player behavior. The game has a fairly rigid theme which many players aren't playing to. Unfortunately, simply telling the players to cease the unwanted behavior and expecting them to comply on their own is often th...

Re: [Poll] Enforcing Theme
As much as I do think a bit more theme enforcement needs to happen, I think that anonymous negative feedback would not be the way to go, even if the players on the receiving end never even see them. RP communities are already highly prone to drama and resentment bubbling just beneath the surface whe...

Re: Secondary / joint bank accounts
Unfortunately, this game is not coded in Python, which is easy and rules, but C++, which is difficult, and sucks.

Re: Sandwiches!
Panera Bread has wonderful sandwiches! I really like their garden vegetable sandwich with pesto and feta cheese.
