Exile and its Implementation
I think exile and excommunication are both cool new ways to add power and flavor to the GI and Seneschal. While Excommunication seems to be both flavorful and well-implemented, the way that exile is being put into the game gives me pause. As of now, the Seneschal can choose to exile people as they s...

Re: Death XP and New Players
I think we need a new XP sink. Assets may have regulated the gold supply, but it removed the major XP hole.

Re: RPXP Bonus for Emote Speed
I think that this change hurts the MUD. The Inquisition's strength is the depth and quality of its RP, not its speed. People will change their styles to cater to rewards, and I'm not sure that the ideal scene involves everyone emoting every five minutes.

Re: Antag and You
Personally, I've dealt with quite a few sore losers and I think that the flowchart works as is. I've been insulted in tells repeatedly by people who had no IC knowledge of the events they found irksome, I've had people log off when faced with confrontation, and I've seen countless IC antags frustrat...

Re: Combat Issues & Bugs
I've seen a Mage quite easily escape from an arrest attempt such as that, so someone initiating an arrest is not the be all end all of the situation. If you want to back up, and run then you're more than capable of initiating those actions. (I'm not actually sure what starts off the combat as I've ...

Re: Combat Issues & Bugs
If you look at the arrest as the moment where your character is moving in to take physical control of said person (for example by grabbing him and then forcibly tying his hands together etc) does that clarify possible scenarios? This generally requires for the people to be up close and personal, al...

Re: Combat Issues & Bugs
My understanding of arrests is that when you use restraint, you should already be in a position to capture the person, strong stance enough their only RP choices away is to either directly attack you, like try to push their way through you, or submit to the arrest. If this became policy, then perfe...

Re: Combat Issues & Bugs
This is a good reason to bring up another point that has been bothering me. Arrest is so fundamentally broken that to win a fight the easiest thing to do is simply start by restraining someone. There are a couple reasons: 1) It can be done from any range 2) It blocks spellcasting 3) It stops any att...

Re: Gambit Discussion!
I dislike gambits as well. It's too easy to manipulate the system, to bandwagon, and I've always been of the opinion that TI shouldn't be a democracy.

Re: Knights vs Mages - Game Design
Let's not kid ourselves Vaxin. Gothan's death was an attempt to keep the Order broken up and wave the proverbial mage hammer around. So stop trying to paint yourself or those who joined you as right in it. While I do enjoy waving the mage hammer around, I rarely smash people with it. I explained th...
