Re: Wake

If you're not happy with the change, it wouldn't be too hard to keep track of these things client-side and create an alias to fix them that way. I definitely like the change.

Re: The Stranglehold of the Holy Order

Re: The Stranglehold of the Holy Order

Priests can give you public penance as well. If a Priest believes that you are not reforming, they can let an Inquisitor know about that as well (if memory serves; I tried looking for the relevant helpfile here, but out of the staggering three files I checked, didn't find the reference I remember)....

Re: Creative, Thematic Punishments

Only as creative as our own faculties allow. I'm asking for OOC help with that creativity. I'm not really sure what you mean by this. If you're looking for creative ways to punish people, that's different from the Reeves thematically lacking the ability. I believe there's some IC literature on the ...

Re: Lithmorran Superiority - Is It a Thing?

There are, however, little aspects of the theme that impact PCs in a big, big way -- and a little clarifying from staff would be helpful. For example, what constitutes the sort of sin you absolutely HAVE to confess to a PC, for example? From 'help Sins' — (Note: It's fine for you to RP your charact...

Re: Creative, Thematic Punishments

Reeves, like Priests/Inquisitors, can be as creative with punishment as the player wants them to be, so long as those above them write off and grant permission (in this case the Lord Justiciar).

Re: Mages and confessions

If you want to RP your characters as having some conflict with this, that's fine. By reading this kind of sentence, I understand there is no way to approach these subjects ICly, unless I would want to be pyred. As Starfish kind of alluded to in another post, this OOC assumption of IC inability to a...

Re: Mages and confessions

Also, the Pyring isn't just someone getting some sticks together and lighting them and throwing a sinner on them. It isn't ritualistic, it is just quite literally strap the person to the pole and light the fire underneath them. If people actually rped the ritualistic process I'd agree, but I haven'...

Re: Mages and confessions

If you want to RP your characters as having some conflict with this, that's fine. But, as stated, there's helpfiles clearly ,supporting Rothgar's interpretations, and from my experience as both someone raised in a severely-religious part of the world and, more recently, someone who played Grand Inqu...
