Re: How to GL
Some additional suggestions following from the above, since this is going to be an OOC handbook: - Reward guildmates' accomplishments with honors, monetary bonuses, public acknowledgements, or additional responsibilities. Promotion need not be the only reward for a job well done. Consider making alt...

Re: On a recent General board post
Hi, Gooseberry! I think there's probably some burnout going around lately, but that always seems to happen after periods of intense activity or when real life rears its ugly head. In the case of the recent general board post to which you refer: please don't let it deter you. That particular player a...

Re: On the Power of mattack
Not in favor of mattack being further nerfed, for valid reasons already stated.

Wax Seals
I've been thinking lately that in addition to being able to slip paper objects under doors (suggested in another thread), it would be cool if we could actually seal -- with wax -- envelopes and letters whose contents we want to protect, thus being able to tell whether they've been read or not alread...

Re: [Poll] City Metric, City Report, City Forecast, and Seneschal
I'm a little unimpressed with how the Foreign Quarter effects currently operate, as a result of unfavorable race relations. You walk into an FQ, and ONE mob yells at you and transfers you out. Like, what is going on there? It seems highly unrealistic to me that my character would simply turn around ...

Re: [Poll] Large Scale Null - Rewrite of IC_Event Post
I'm glad this was resolved the way it was. I, too, remember reading the initial IC Events post and thinking it was pretty unnecessarily shaming/punitive for a removal that was ostensibly due to inactivity.

Re: Nixing the banking system
I agree that the banking system, like the now-retired guild note system, is convenient in ways that are probably both helpful and harmful to the game. I already keep small piles of coin around for thematic reasons and to expose my character to risks that are otherwise boringly easy to avoid, but I'd...

Forageable stones as ammunition?
Would it be possible to make regular, forageable stones into throwable ammunition type objects of perhaps crappy quality? I know it's not strictly necessary for being able to throw things, but I can think of at least a few reasons in favor. (There may be reasons against. I'm no expert in throwing me...

Re: Tax info and metagaming concerns
By the way, if a staffer or someone with moderator privileges wants to move this topic into General Discussion, that's fine by me.

Re: Tax info and metagaming concerns
Thanks, Gerolf! That helps a lot more than speculation. I assume more information is available via RPA, which is where the type of phome comes in, general location, etc. Due to the staffer's phrasing, I was under the impression that the type of home was part of the output, but clearly it's not, whic...
