Re: Do our emote standards make TI less accessible?
I sympathize somewhat with this remark, as I think short, snappy dialogue can be used to good effect in some scenes, and not every scene should require participants to write a novella. Where I think we could probably afford to make a slight adjustment is in reducing the length requirement on hemotes...

Re: @desc_cloak by default
Well, I didn't ask for a custom @desc_cloak from my tailor when I ordered my extremely expensive cloak, and now I have to retool to add one or bug the person to do it for me... so I guess I'm back to my original complaint about this change being somewhat tedious. +1 to Inertia's ideas. Personally, I...

Re: @desc_cloak by default
Apparently, cloaks don't require a @desc_cloak to be added to use them right off the bat (I've discovered), but if you don't add one, the default setting reveals the sex of the player, which seems unintended?
Would still like an example someplace as to what a @desc_cloak is supposed to look like.

@desc_cloak by default
Hi -- not sure whether this was considered when coming up with this new cloak system, but it would be great if crafted cloaks came with a default @desc_cloak that could be edited freely on the toolable item. Two reasons: First, so that crafted cloaks are usable as-is, right after crafting, thus redu...

For drinks that aren't in permanent containers, split seems reasonable to me.

Re: Rooms marked dark without light.
Agree completely re: newbie candles. I think they last for something like 400 hours by default. I specifically ask for dark flags for my underground rooms, but if I had to keep up my candle stock or risk stumbling through my own phome all the time, that level of realism would get pretty old, pretty ...

Re: Gift wrapping suggestion
There are a lot of aspects to TI that aren't really medieval but have found their way into theme because they're compelling or fun or because they make things special. This seems like such a minor issue, I wouldn't discourage anyone from pursuing gift-wrapped boxes through the current papercrafting/...

Re: [Poll] What Do You Think About TI's Wounds System
You're clearly not completely alone, which is why I've chosen to firmly state my own opinions. I've spent most of my time in TI playing the riskier, grittier side of the game, and while I agree that the threat of permanent death makes the game more exciting, I'm not sure death rolls would even have ...

Re: [Poll] What Do You Think About TI's Wounds System
And as long as Zabriskan's Combustion can be used to severely wound an entire room full of people (as happened last Magebane), I absolutely DISAGREE with Zeita or anyone else who might favor death rolls. I can't see death rolls as being anything but harmful to a game in which death is, by policy, su...
