Re: [Poll] Alternative to seeking?
My opinion is that Guild promotion culture is often unnecessarily bureaucratic to begin with. Many seekers have obvious experience in the lore, mechanics, etc of the Guild they want to join. Despite this, there is a very strong culture of making sure everyone "does their time" in Ranks 1 and 2, eve...

Re: [Poll] Alternative to seeking?
I agree that seeking can be a good opportunity for RP. It also gives the guild more cohesion by having guild members interview and get to know the various seekers before they're inducted, whereas once they're in they might have less reason to communicate and form bonds with other members, depending...

Re: [Poll] Alternative to seeking?
I disapproved of this change on TI's sister game, and I don't particularly like it here. My thought is that it will cut down on GL RP of seeking out seekers and interviewing them, finding out if they're a good fit, potentially generating conflict if they aren't. I think this would only benefit guild...

Re: Mage v Knight Balance, Revisited
I believe that it's a perception that the danger level is just too high. Unless you know for a fact who the other mage is, and you know they won't betray you, there's little to incentivize someone to seek out another mage. Having an actual organized (and obviously covert) guild or something similar ...

Re: Proposal - Mage Sanctuary
I'm not really understanding how xblocks are a problem. The idea that mages will just sit behind them eternally is certainly possible... and it's also possible for their targets and the knights and the order to just sit behind their own xblocks, and they're allowed to have them. Nothing will get don...

Re: Mage v Knight Balance, Revisited
But then the question becomes: do mages, when they have access to all the elements and teacher mages and magic guild and so on, become overpowered? Oh and also, I really don't get the complaint about wax balls. I know exactly one person outside the Order who has one at the moment, and they have a VE...

Re: How to successfully play a noble.
I would add to all of this that there is a careful balance with the relationship of Nobles and the Gentry. Gentry are essentially Freemen who are wealthy enough to live like a noble, but they themselves don't have titles or land (or at least not as much land as a noble. A gentry owning something lik...

Re: Bandages Recipe
While this might not change a need for a dedicated recipe for Medicine folks, as an FYI/workaround in the meantime the following is functional. Name : (1649) Patchworked Cloth - Tailoring (Rank 5) Utilizes: 3x a scrap of colored cloth snipped clean of any fraying edges. And produces: an even, patch...

Re: OOC Support Thread - You're Awesome and Here's Why
Torin is ridiculously funny in every single scene he's in. I think everyone whose met him knows that. Marakus (aka Mister Lightningfingers) always has very large, very descriptive and good emotes. He is also the only one I've met who can produce emotes that long faster than me. Very large props. Naj...

Re: In what circumstances should you deny a PC (cyan or otherwise) entry into a guild?
Wait wait wait... All of this complaining over a GL's time when the Guild itself is a total of six players, currently? Two of which are GLs? That's literally two players per GL. How hard could it possibly be for one player to arrange all of this stuff for two players? If you don't have time to mana...
