Seconding Geras, no one is really doing a serious amount of PK here. There is merit to thinking about who is being targeted by PK and why it is discouraging many kinds of game activity and code interaction, but making this game more "AE but fantasy" isn't really the right approach to me

I thought I had heard the phrase 'notoriety' before in reference to TI, but couldn't pin down where. Thanks. I didn't know it was rejected in the past, either; as far as I can tell it happened completely silently.

I would think that the immediate differentiator between unskilled and skilled sneaks is being able to spot them moving around... Based on past OOC chats, it doesn't appear that any of the mage features discussed have been a Staff priority. We saw brief mention of them in October, as part of a backend overhaul, but now most of the discussion has centered advertising and retention/activity tools like Event Scheduling and Quests...
