Re: In what circumstances should you deny a PC (cyan or otherwise) entry into a guild?

Hey people, since there seems to be a lot of IC info seeping into this thread, I'm gonna have to ask for that to be toned down. I understand this topic was brought up because of a specific IC event, but from my understanding, the topic isn't to discuss the actions the GLs took during that scenario.....

Re: Jail Channel

ok, so the channel is strictly for requesting roleplay and not for OOC banter which should go to the OOC channel... easy enough. but players are actually using it for exactly that, asking for roleplay, with periodic reminders, and being told they are nagging, or asking too frequently. if the jail c...

Re: Jail Channel

Ah, that might have changed then. Or it might be togglable for non-order/reeve guild members. Still, I'd rather people not toggle it off to avoid chatter and miss pleas when someone needs RP. That's really the key, if people will start disabling jail because of chatter, the person in jail is, ironi...

Re: Jail Channel

I think what Kitty is trying to say is that the jail channel (a guild channel) isn't for chatting. It never was meant to be, it's a way to set up IC scenes for players that are in jail. We have a seperate, dedicated channel for OOC chatting. So why not use that? Why does the jail channel specificall...

Re: assets and city metrics

Piety is constantly high because of the playerbase's actions and support. If your suggestion was in effect, it'd basically negate the entire point of supporting said city metric. Many players support the city metric that their assets cash out on, and if cashing out also counteracts the asset... well...

Re: Mage Rec Levels and Risk Factors

I think the argument of 'mages cannot influence events to create a lasting change' does not apply to just mage characters, but to every TI character. It's safe to say (no offense to anyone) that there are certain characters that have made impact on the game through their IC actions and by taking ris...

Re: Mage Rec Levels and Risk Factors

But did they truly 'win'? Did they make any real change? Or did they simply survive while being more of an IC annoyance than a threat? What do you perceive as 'change' or 'winning'? Because I don't think the theme of TI allows mages to truly 'change' the theme in any way. That's just the way it is....

Re: Mage Rec Levels and Risk Factors

To be honest, we had a mage player who for months evaded both the Order and Reeves while affecting players IC. I don't think mages aren't necessarily able to not win, just that I don't personally see many TRY to.

Re: Mage Rec Levels and Risk Factors

I think it's important to clarify 'aggressive mage play' does not necessarily mean 'go around attacking Knights, Inquisitors and Orderites'. You can be active and aggressive without physically being there. Mages have all the power available to them to mess with players from rooms away, and give them...
