Re: Hidden emote inside of emote

It might feel a bit less forced at times if there was an option to sort of work it into a longer emote (and thus reward people who pay attention a bit more.) So, I support this if it wouldn't be too hard to code.

Log of OOC Meeting - 6/24/17

Kinaed muses, "Today's Agenda is: - Staff Updates - Player Heartbeat - Player Topics Is there anything anyone would like to add to the agenda to make certain we discuss it today?" Lance claims, "I don't like that it's snowing in Lithmore and it's sweltering outside IRL." Kinaed s...

Re: A Coin Conundrum: Gentry Versus Freemen

I know, just from experience that is much different in this game than in a lot of others were being a Merchant/crafter is literally just putting things into a shop and people will come buy them, because that's the expectation of how things are handled. So things that might seem like common sense IRL...

Also, judgement free zone - if you want to add something to this post but don't want to be publicly known as the person posting it - anonymous mail to clioame@gmail.com - don't need to include your character name or anything and I'll post it in the interest of keeping this talk going, as I think it'...

Re: Communal Brainstorm for Non-Lethal Order/Mage Conflict!

I'll attempt to offer thought on this from my perspective - I sort of offered these thoughts before on yon olde Knight/Mage thread, but here it is: - Having interactions with mages or really with any antagonistic character is easier when that person has human weaknesses and flaws and things that mak...

Re: A Coin Conundrum: Gentry Versus Freemen

I hope this doesn't come off as snarky because it is 100% sincere, but have you considered Googling? I would suggest you look for "guerrilla marketing" techniques. Obviously some of the tactics wouldn't fit because of theme, etc. I think it's the consideration of things not matching theme...

Re: A Coin Conundrum: Gentry Versus Freemen

Some people don't naturally IRL have a personality like that to naturally know how to do that. Maybe we should ponder up a list of tips for folks who might not inherently know how to do that.

Re: A Coin Conundrum: Gentry Versus Freemen

Second, the silver is now in a limit, so the savings that can come from player merchants vs. npcs will be even more important, opting to seek out merchants rather than going to nearby NPC store. I think it might be a thing in conditioning folks to sense the thrill of the deal with other PCs rather ...

Re: A Coin Conundrum: Gentry Versus Freemen

Now items will be harder to get, silver slower to earn and business will somewhat slow regarding volume sales for the merchants, especially when the old money is gone from older players. This is one of my concerns. It can be hard to be motivated to play a Merchant type who doesn't really earn any m...

Re: Herbalism Planting/tending skill level

We didn't make them produce a lot of flowers or frequently, so having one could be something special. I worry that if I created a recipe that used several of these, it wouldn't get used due to needing more than one of the plants and having to save them up over time. Do folks think it would be a big...
