Re: Retooling: Merchants Only?

I am strongly opposed to having retool be merchants-only. As it stands (I believe!), merchants already have the option to retool for much cheaper as a perk of guild membership but retool exists for everybody as a convenience - and you do pay for that convenience! Retool is a significantly more expen...

Sponsor requirements

Would it be possible to adjust existing code so that someone seeking a guild who has at least one sponsor can still see the current sponsor requirement? Especially since the requirement changes automatically, it would be helpful to know how many steps there are left before potential induction. Thanks!

Re: City Lore

I'm not opposed to the idea of there being different sorts of lore, though I'd be reluctant to suggest additional skills to cover them. Still, a scholar and a streetwise hood rat probably value information differently, and it might make the skill appeal to a wider audience if there were some way to ...

Re: help + grep = awesome

Barring this added command (I don't think I will ever use 'grep' without the distraction of "hee hee, grep. What a weird word. Is that like crepe? Mm, crepes...), would it be worth considering a standardized length for help files? There's already the option of setting your own scroll length, but I c...

Re: The University

Dice essentially wrote the post I would have. I don't object to defining degrees and perks for completing formalized University programs, but I am concerned about how 'active' this RP would be, how sustainable the efforts, and how much the proposed system overlaps into established guilds' territory....

Re: Last - a shorter version of "history"

Re: history for tells. There IS the 'tell log' feature, so there's a one-time check for tells you may have missed recently. Technically that's a buffer, not log ;). I know that it's nitpicking for non-it fellas but there is a difference. Consider the nit picked. :) The command to keep tells buffere...

+1 vote

I've seen this on another game and it was helpful (and oft-used), especially as you could determine a number of your own (up to 100 or 200 if I recall correctly...whatever the max was for the channel's history).

Re: Mark of Thandok

Separate post since I'm running away with your idea (and probably really far from the original point). 3.) Some sort of temporary control over a released captive could be fair. There's a better chance that your victim will spread your message for you if they've got some sort of mark that requires ef...
