Re: Request for Clarification - Familiarity Warning

Multiple characters closely involved with the same PC, whether the relationships are friendly or not, still is against our policies. As stated above, casual relationships are fine (e.g. I interact with Jane because she's the local cobbler, and the only person I can reliably get shoes from), but rela...

Re: Facebook page

I've really enjoyed the occasional contests and links to historical facts others have posted now and again (like, how was a mace really used?). Maybe a 1x per week medieval facts video or something?

Re: Rumor mechanics explained

It occurs to me that roles may have altered the Troub calc since that used to be 1-20. I'll check with Az.

Re: What should TI Court be?

I'd imagine the Keeper of the Seal/Seneschal could hold court monthly on the Queen's behalf if they wanted to. We rolled the the Keeper of the Seal into the Seneschal role so that the become the Queen's stand-in representative and essentially the PC monarch (with niceties such as term limits so the ...

What should TI Court be?

Through a series of broad changes from TI through to TI:L, Court has changed. Historically, court was the place nobles met to curry favor, form alliances, introduce or marry off children, and avoid their daily responsibilities in ruling their domains. TI never really realized this well for numerous ...

Re: [Poll] 'Society' vs 'socieity'

I am not a historian, but for clarity to those whom I confused, my general understanding is thus: 'Society' was historically a proper noun in reference to an upper class social group in the Western caste system that had extreme social rituals. Failure to understand the unspoken rules or have the cor...

[Poll] 'Society' vs 'society'

Players may have noticed that when they type 'help character <name>', they now see some information about a particular character's prestige. For nobles, this is prestige in relation to Court. For everyone else, it is prestige in relation to 'society'. When I originally thought of adding Society, I f...

Re: [Poll] Opinions on Alt Disclosure

Thank you for your thoughts and opinions, folks. I think at this time, we'll make no changes to the current policy. However, if you've read this thread, you're now aware that a lot of people DO NOT WANT TO KNOW who your alts are, so please do consider being courteous and asking how someone feels abo...

[Poll] Opinions on Alt Disclosure

From Staff Talking Points: A player came to us and asked us to request other players do not publicly disclose their alts because they found it immersion breaking to know who was behind all of the faces they interact with before they'd even met the other characters. Staff discussed this issue, and wh...

Re: Question - Gambit Triggers

I'd expect the IC Event to be the actual gambit, so it would be the present tense only.
