After a tense month following the murder of Lord Saloman de Noguerra, an
announcement at the pyring of Jonquil ab Ydeth caused waves of relief: in
addition to his other sins, the man had murdered the Baron of Lema's
brother in a misguided attempt to win Magnate Emma ab Courtland's love.
Many Farin inhabitants of the city indicate that they are glad the murderer
is no longer at large and the Baron is expected to reduce his animosity put
to fair justice - and mages are a common enemy among Lithmore and Farin,
after all. Even if the Baron is not satisfied, some merchants speculate
that the Duke will give him less leeway for vengeance.

Troubadours have been seen training in the accademy, and fighting in boats.
But There's been scant few performances put on by the troupe. There were
no performances and the Lady Marshall's wedding, or any other importaint
events in some time. Just what kind of organization is the Poet Laudate
running? I've heard he's denied interviews to those that showed genuine
interest in bringing the guild back to its proper roots too.

everyone else in the city that the Lady Justiciar has been seen herding her
Reeves all over the city investigating all manner of crimes. First she led
a raid rescuing those slaves. Then she investigated the assassination of
the Lema delegation protecting the good name of our Grand Magnate. Further
she tracked down the postal blackmailer. All of this done without one of
her key Magistrates.

A cart coming up from south of Lithmore, nearly to the city, encountered an
ambush - having hired a mercenary contingent with the lack of safety on the
roads, the merchants, linen importers from the south, were prepared for
trouble. What they weren't prepared for was a shambling metal beast that
knocked out two of the guards before they even knew what they were doing.
The survivors report that there were at least two people as a part of the
attack as well - seeming to be having a hard time keeping the thing under
control and stop it from falling apart. When it turned on one of those
trying to direct it, the traders took the chance to grab their people and
goods and run for the city, making it safely with the goods only partially
destroyed.
The traders, safely escpaed to Lithmore, swear they will not travel further
until this is dealt with, no matter how much it costs them, and other
merchants whisper they are seriously considering rethinking their own
planned ventures.

for health reasons, a vague and nebulous excuse that has piqued the
interest of many courtiers.
Some claim that the mysterious ailment responsible for the Regent's
occasional absences from Court has flared up again and he is near-death,
but this story is discredited by those who point out that he has seemed to
enjoy robust good health of late. A more popular rumor suggests that he is
entering Madison Hospital for some sort of unusual medical procedure, but
the gossips cannot seem to agree on what procedure that might be.
Only one matter is uncontested truth: for the short term at least, the
reins of the Kingdom lie in Lord ab Jinosa's hands.
